HSK LEVELS

HSK stands for Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì and can be interpreted as Chinese Proficiency Test.

Authorized testing centers where you can pass HSK level 1-6 can be found all over the world, thus the most important aspect is high-quality preparation, which we will provide you with in case you decide to take a test.

HSK was created and launched by Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters), an affiliation of the Chinese Ministry of Education, with a primary goal of measuring the foreigners' ability to speak Chinese.

Hanban has provided a short guideline in order to explain to potential exam-takers what to be prepared for. According to it, HSK1 and HSK2 represent very basic Mandarin skills sufficient to have short and simple discussions in daily life, HSK3 and HSK4 are intended for intermediate speakers who are quite acknowledged with Chinese symbols as well. HSK5 and HSK6 prove your proficiency in the language, allowing you to express yourself fluently and smoothly.
